Way out in western Honduras is the town of Copan Ruinas with it's stunning UN World Heritage Mayan Ruins site, and one of our favorite coffee producers.

Sensing a new way to do things, Katia Duke starting taking over operations of the family owned Finca San Isidro about four years ago. Slowly incorporating specialty practices and diversifying farm output and income, including an on-farm spa and in-town cafe.

I met Katia a few years ago and she's become one of my dearest friends, not to mention she's been pushing the quality limits in western Honduras producing exquisite coffees.

This natural process catuai is just one of those coffees. Beautiful medium bodied with colorful light berry notes. This isn't the brash and monotoned blueberry bomb, but rather a nuanced and deep berry with a light, refreshing acidity.
